It's a flexible buckle which looks like a small belt that can be clipped in the loops of your trousers so that you can leave your trousers unbuttoned - the buckle covers that. It's absolutely great, because this way I can wear my favorite non-maternity jeans a couple of months longer during my pregnancy. I bought a couple of "Bellyguards", because they are available in different styles: neutral, with little slogans, or with rhinestones. My favorite is "Sexy Mama"
